Black Pacific, Chinese Atlantic

BPCA is a two channel video installation by artist Tao Leigh Goffe, co-commissioned by the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts 9th Asian Art Biennial and the Guggenheim Sixth Asian Art Council.

Goffe produces videos, sound sculptures, and time-based installations that foreground digital tools as a way of critiquing overlapping European colonialisms and creating sonic kinship. She explores themes including island and geological intimacies that draw on her Black British and Jamaican Chinese heritage. We produced this two channel artwork in collaboration with the artist for presentation at the 9th Asian Art Biennial, leading content production and narrative development, post-production (editing, color, VFX), installation planning, and delivery at an international art festival.

This project was commissioned for the 9th Asian Art Biennial at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts from November 2024 - March 2025.
